In this one-day workshop, we will explore the deep connection between language and the body. Through poetry, spoken word, and personal mantras, we’ll attune to how words resonate within us—how they move through our nervous systems and leave traces of meaning, memory, and emotion. Language, when fully felt, has the power to heal us from within.
What does it mean to feel language? Beyond speaking and listening, we also experience words physically—through sensation, breath, and emotion. This somatic approach to language invites us to engage with both our delightful and difficult stories in a new, embodied way. By doing so, we can develop tools that support our natural capacity for resilience and restoration.
We’ll begin by cultivating safety through gentle, embodied meditation and then follow what arises using simple somatic practices and breathwork. There will be space to share poetry, phrases, and reflections, witness each other’s stories, and offer support within a compassionate and respectful community.
This workshop is open to everyone—no prior experience needed.
