Pricing:
New Patients:
Initial 5-10 minute "feeling out" call: Free.
Initial appointment, 60-75 minutes in person: $300
Established Patients*
60 minute appointment: $250
30 minute appointment: $150
Emails and other behind-the-scenes work billed by time, $30 per block, up to 15 minutes' professional time.
House-calls may be considered on a case-by-case basis for established patients with difficulty leaving home; pricing will be consistent with the above list, including transit time as “behind the scenes.”
Health Insurance:
Alexa does not bill health insurers directly, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get any coverage!
Alexa will provide a “super bill” monthly with appropriate diagnostic coding, which you can submit to your insurance company. Please understand that Alexa does not know what level of coverage will be provided through each insurer, but you can reach out to your insurance rep ahead of time to find out what coverage is available.
The Fine Print:
*“Established patients” refers to patients who have been seen by Alexa at Open Door. While patients Alexa has seen previously are certainly welcome, Alexa will not have access to their prior records beyond what is provided by the patient, so their initial visit will still involve “establishing care.”
Pricing for appointments reflects time directly with patients and up to 30 minutes of records review and/or research. Further time may be billed as listed under "behind-the-scenes time" as above.
Payment is expected at the time of the appointment; “super billing” for insurance purposes, as well as any billing for additional time, will be sent at the end of each month by email.
Alexa will aim to return emails with medical opinions within 24 hours, though she cannot guarantee this. If not responded to within 48 hours, there will be no charge for emails. If the issue addressed requires an in-person assessment or more than 15 minutes' time, Alexa will recommend an appointment by email and there will be no charge for this email exchange. Email policy subject to change based on demand and availability.
