“I long, as does every human being, to be at home wherever I find myself.”
— Maya Angelou
Join Vicky Fish, MSW, and Kate Gamble, MSPT, for an afternoon that will include writing, embodied meditation, somatic practices, and creative expression. What stirs in you when you think of home? Home can be a place or a state of being, or both. Sometimes, we are homebuilding and nesting. At other times, we are transitioning from one home to the next or redefining home. Being at home in our own skin, home on this beautiful planet, or in this complex world are all ways of being at home that invite curiosity and exploration. Let's take time to notice how home is alive in you in this moment. Through embodied practices, writing prompts and other (lightly) creative practices, we will take a deep dive into home with all its meanings. You will leave with tools and practices and a sense of belonging to a supportive community.
The workshop will include:
Embodied practices that connect us to our inner home
Writing prompts that allow us to tap into our subconscious wisdom
Poetry to inspire
Sharing and witnessing as a means to learn from one another
